I knew check in wasn't until 3pm but I went in at 1:45pm only to ask about parking. The young lady I spoke to was lovely and after we discussed the parking she offered to check if our room was ready. She returned about 5 minutes later, told us the room was in fact ready for us and showed us to our room. We then spoke with the lady who was cleaning and preparing the rooms for guests and she kindly showed us the other rooms. During our chat, I mentioned that if I was visiting again, I would book a room with a bath! We received a warm welcome when we went downstairs to the restaurant for dinner. We were shown to our table and although the restaurant was very busy (it was New years eve) our drinks order was taken immediately as was our food order. I had the chicken stack and my husband chose the steak & Guinness casserole. Both good size portions and the food was first class😋A few times during our meal different members of staff came to our table to check if we needed anything. The service was superb☺️We were in the Chichester room with a sea view. The room, although small was in fact very cosy and exceptionally clean. When we arrived for breakfast the next morning we were shown to our table by the manager who told us that we had been given a room upgrade for our second night☺️There was a good choice on the breakfast menu and again the food was delicious. As we were going out for a walk, we were told just to pack our cases and once the other room was ready, our cases would be moved to the room for our return. Every member of staff at Pier 36 who we spoke to was polite, friendly and really took time to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The room upgrade was The Smith (room 1) which had a four poster bed, sofa and to my delight a bath☺️I do plan to visit Pier 36 again and hopefully book this room but if it wasn't available, I wouldn't be too disappointed as I did like the cosiness of The Chichester.

Everything about this place is absolutely fantastic! Staff and locals both very welcoming - We initially booked this accommodation as we watched the TV series Hope Street - we were then informed in advance that the bar & restaurant would be closed on the first day of our stay due to TV filming but would still have access to food and drinks at to the neighbouring bar and then able to use the Pier 36 bar facilities on the second day - this suited us perfectly as as we could still sit outside in the sun and meet all the actors and film crew on day one then see experience inside on day two! (With a 5 piece band playing that night being the cherry on the top)

I was visiting NI on business and decided to book at the Pier 36 and how pleased I did. The initial reception was very professional. I was shown up to the room (number 2) which was very large and spacious and spotlessly clean. All this with a sea view as well. I took the opportunity to have dinner down in the bar. I had the soup starter followed by Haddock both of which I enjoyed. After a good nights sleep and a wonderful hot shower I went for breakfast. I can not recommend the award winning Muesli highly enough followed by poached eggs on sough doe bread. I left feeling well fed and rested, which is all you can ask for from a B&B.

Wonderful location with beautiful sea views from our room which was spacious, light and airy. Well equipped with seating by the window to watch tide rolling in and plenty of wardrobe space. We were able to park the hire car right outside the pub. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Our full Irish breakfast was really tasty, we also ate an evening meal in the pub which was delicious. There was filming taking place on the morning we checked out (which we knew about) so we were invited to dine in 'Bow bells coffee house and tea rooms' for our breakfast which was only round the corner and also absolutely tasty and very enjoyable .

It’s located right by the harbour with a few of it which is amazing! I’ve never stayed in a pub before and was scared it would be loud or old but it was amazing! Quiet rooms which look very classic, super nice and clean. The breakfast is meant to be super nice (had to leave early so couldn’t try it) as the food is recommended by every local we met. When we came home late our key didn’t work but they answered the phone promptly and opened the door straight away. Had a few lovely chats with the staff as well. All in all it was very great and will come back for sure!
